The deal struck with Isaacson and the book publisher involves the amount of $3 million if the movie is produced and $1 million if not. Mark Gordon has been tapped as the movie’s producer. After a series of flip-flops the book is finally set to be published in October 24 by Simon & Schuster which will include the final interview of Steve Jobs

Sony is gearing to produce the movie with the assistance of Aaron Sorkin who wrote for the movie The Social Network and Moneyball. Job’s life had been featured once on a TV movie The Pirates of Silicon Valley produced in 1999 by TNT. The role was played by ER actor Noah Wyle and the show was based on Fire in the Valley, a book which deals on the lives of Jobs and Bill Gates in parallel fashion.

On the other hand, the 448-page biography, which will be titled “Steve Jobs” contains 100 conversations with Steve’s family and friends and 40 interviews with him by the author.
